Two calendars. One cause. One big heart.

Proceeds from the sale of this calendar will go directly to helping a young local family, the Beatons, as they navigate an extraordinary journey. As well as a donation to STARS Air Ambulance. 

Kyle was a close friend of mine growing up. At just 18 years old, he underwent his first heart transplant. Nearly seventeen years later, he received the news that another heart had become available, giving him the opportunity for a second chance.

On August 20, 2026, Kyle underwent a successful second heart transplant.

He is now beginning the long road to recovery. Encouragingly, he is already breathing on his own and standing with assistance — incredible milestones so soon after surgery. But the journey ahead is still a long one.

Kyle is expected to spend another two to three weeks in hospital before remaining in Edmonton for approximately three months of intensive follow-up care. During this time, a support person must accompany him to appointments as he navigates recovery, medications, and extensive medical monitoring.

The financial and emotional demands of a journey like this are significant. Every calendar purchased will help offset the travel, accommodation, meals, and other expenses Kyle and his family will face throughout his recovery.
